Every day, the Consumer Protection Division of the Attorney General’s Office aids Nebraskans who are affected by scams and frauds while educating consumers on how they can proactively protect themselves. This week, during National Consumer Protection Week (NCPW), the Attorney General’s Office is sharing tips and reminders on how Nebraskans can protect their personal information. These tips are posted on ProtectTheGoodLife.Nebraska.gov.
All week educational materials are available in the Nebraska State Capitol building in the center of the ground floor.
As a part of NCPW 2018, the Nebraska Attorney General’s Office is announcing the “Top 10 Consumer Complaints” in Nebraska during 2017. Those complaints relate to the following categories, listed below in order of frequency:

5. Clothing, Textiles & Jewelry
6. Auto Related Complaints
7. Health Care
8. Internet Services
9. Banks & Lenders
10. Debt Collection
