Attorney General Doug Peterson announced today that his office has reached a settlement with Tickets in Time, LLC, Secure Ticket Purchase, LLC, and their owner, John Uhrich (collectively “Box Office Ticket Sales”), resolving a consumer protection case that was filed in the Lancaster County District Court in 2016. 

Attorney General Peterson announced that he, along with attorneys general from ten other states and commonwealths, has filed a Complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana against Medical Informatics Engineering, Inc. and NoMoreClipboard, LLC, (collectively “MIE”) a web-based electronic health record company headquartered in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Nebraska Attorney General Doug Peterson announced on October 2, 2018, that the State of Nebraska, along with other states and the federal government, has reached an agreement in principle with pharmaceutical distributor AmerisourceBergen Corporation (ABC) to settle allegations that the company introduced adulterated drugs into interstate commerce. As a result, ABC will pay the states and the federal government $625 million, of which nearly $100 million will go to state Medicaid programs. Additionally, an ABC subsidiary, AmerisourceBergen Specialty Group pled guilty in federal court to illegally distributing misbranded drugs.

Attorney General Peterson announced that he, along with the other 49 states and the District of Columbia, has reached an agreement with California-based ride-sharing company Uber Technologies, Inc. (Uber) to address the company’s one-year delay in reporting a data breach to its affected drivers.

Lincoln—The Nebraska Attorney General’s Consumer Protection website (www.ProtectTheGoodLife.nebraska.gov) has received the 2018 Consumer Outreach WAGGY award at the annual Conference for Western Attorneys General (CWAG). 

Today, Nebraska joined the FTC and state partners in announcing Operation Donate with Honor, a nationwide law enforcement and education initiative to stop veterans-related charity fraud.
